Regulations regarding the Absence of Children from School
Under current regulations, Statutory Instrument 2006 No. 1751 The Education (Pupil Registration) (England) Regulations 2006, Headteachers have discretion to grant leave of absence for purposes of family holidays in term time sich leave will only be granted in exceptional circumstances.
There will be no authorised absences the first week of the new School year in September or during the month of MAY in any school year due to assessment and reporting arrangements.
